Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 25th May 2004
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposed mast and ancillary equipment housing would, by virtue of its prominent location would result in an incongruous and visually intrusive form of development that would detract from the visual amenities of the area and would fail to conserve and enhance the special landscape qualities and character of this part of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As such the proposal is considered to be contrary to policies G1, C2 and G15 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2, C2 and TE1 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (Second Deposit Draft), Central Government advice in PPG8 'Telecommunications' (2001) and Circular 4/99 'Planning for Telecommunications'.
