That the siting of the proposed mast and associated equipment would detract from the character and visual amenity of the area which lies in open countryside and is designated as an Area of Great Landscape Value, and would be intrusive and prominent when viewed from the nearby main road. As such the proposal is contrary to the provisions of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan particularly policies G1, G15 and C3 and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (Second Deposit Draft) particularly policies G2, TE1 and the intentions of Planning Policy Guidance Note 8 "Telecommunications".
