Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 26th January 2005
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to the location of the proposed conservatory close to the modest and enclosed amenity area of the neighbouring property, the proposed conservatory would be oppressive and overbearing to the occupiers of no 29 Wood Street, contrary to policies G1 and H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft.

That, having regard to the design of the proposed conservatory, particularly the hard, predominantly opaque frontage of the development, the proposal would not preserve or enhance the character of the Wallingford Conservation Area contrary to policies G1, G8 and Con 10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan , policies G2, D1 and Con 10 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft.

That the erection of a 1.7m high fence along the edge of the path in front of no 28 Wood Street would appear visually intrusive in the street scene and would fail to preserve or enhance the character and appearance of the Wallingford Conservation Area contrary to policies G1 and Con 10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2 and Con 10 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft.
