Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of five years from the date of this consent. Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.

That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to provide protection for the building against the weather during the progress of the works. Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building in accordance with Policy CON1 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That samples of the materials to be used in the external construction of the extended chimney shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before works commence. Reason: To safeguard the architectural and historic character and appearance of the listed building in accordance with Policy CON6 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That the bricks as approved to be used in the construction of the extended chimney shall be laid with a lime mortar with the joints finished in pointing to match the existing. Reason: To safeguard the architectural and historic character and appearance of the listed building in accordance with Policy CON6 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
