That having regard to its design, size and form the proposal represents an inappropriate form of extension that would detract from the character and appearance of the existing dwelling. In addition the proposal would be prominent and visually intrusive in the street scene detracting from the visual amenities of the attractive village land and appearance of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As such the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of the Adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan particularly policies G1, C2 and H12 and the provisions of the Second Deposit Draft South Oxfordshire Local Plan particularly policies G2, C2 and H13 and also advice in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
