Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposals are contrary to policies G1, G13, CON12 and CON10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, to policies G2, AD1, CON13 and CON10 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (Second Deposit Draft September 2003) and to advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Traditional Shopfront Design Guide.  The siting, detailing and materials of the proposed sign and the proposal to introduce additional illumination to the ATM would represent inappropriate and unsympathetic additions and alterations to a grade II listed building, which would neither preserve nor enhance the character and appearance of the Thame Conservation Area.
