Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 31st January 2005
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to their excessive size and prominent location, and to their unsatisfactory design and external appearance, the four portable units detract from the character and appearance of the Conservation Area and the setting of the surrounding listed buildings, contrary to Policies G1, G8, CON7, CON8 and CON10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Plan and policies G2, G6, CON7 and CON10 of the Second Deposit Draft South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
Furthermore, the noise and activity associated with the various storage units detracts from the amenity of residential accommodation in the vicinity of the site, contrary to policies G7 and E6 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies EP2 and E5 of the Second Deposit Draft South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
