Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 9th July 2004
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposal would involve the extension of the built-up area of Thame into the open countryside which would be detrimental to the rural character and appearance of the area. Therefore the development would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's Adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan particularly policies G1, G5 and H6 and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (Second Deposit Draft) particularly policies G2, G4, C4 and H4.
That the development would encroach onto the former railway line and would therefore prejudice its future use as a transport corridor for vehicles. Therefore, the development would be contrary to policy T9 of the Oxfordshire Structure Plan 2011.
