Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposed conservatory would be an inappropriate domestic addition to this former farm building which would detract from the character and appearance of this listed building. Furthermore the existing barn is considered to provide reasonable accommodation for an ancillary dwelling and no supporting information has been provided to justify a need for the extension contrary to advice in paragraph 3.4 of PPG15. As such the proposal would be contrary to Policies Con 5, Con 6 and H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and Policies Con 4, Con 5 and H13 of the Second Deposit Draft Local Plan and advice in Section BC1 and BC8 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
