That, having regard to the size of the proposed roller shutter that covers the whole of the ground floor frontage, and to the design of the shutter that completely blocks the view of the shop window, the proposal represents an unacceptable form of development that would detract from the visual amenity of the town centre outside opening hours. As such, the proposal would be contrary to Policy G1 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, Policy G2 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit (Draft) and the advice contained within the South Oxfordshire Traditional Shopfront Design Guide and the Shop Front Security Guide.
