That, having regard to the location of the proposed hanging sign and its method of attachment to the building and to the proposed materials and method of illumination of both the fascia sign and hanging sign, the proposal represents an unacceptable form of development that would detract from the historic character and appearance of this grade II listed building and the character and appearance of the Wallingford Conservation Area. As such, the proposal would be contrary to Policies G1, G13, CON8, CON10 and CON12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and Policies G2, CON1, CON8, CON11 and CON13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft and the South Oxfordshire Traditional Shopfront Design Guide.
