Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to the shape, design and materials proposed to be used for the projecting sign and the use of a powder coated ground sign that would stand proud of the main fascia, the proposed advertisements would be detrimental to the visual amenities and appearance of the Henley-on-Thames Main Conservation Area. Therefore the proposal would be contrary to policies G1, G13, CON10 and CON 12 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2, AD1, CON10 and CON13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (First Deposit Draft). In addition the signs would not comply with advice contained in the Council's Traditional Shopfront Design Guide.
