Decision
Refusal of Consent to Display an Advertisement on 9th April 2003
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposed directional signs (signs 2 and 3) would add to the existing signs at the junction of Greys Road and Goodall Close and would detract from the character and appearance of the Henley-on-Thames Conservation Area. Therefore the signage would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G13 and CON12 and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (First Deposit Draft), particularly policy CON13.

That, having regard to the use of aluminium for the sign and black pvc coated posts, sign 1 would involve the use of materials non traditional and would therefore detract from the character and appearance of the Henley-on-Thames Conservation Area. Therefore the signage would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G13 and CON12 and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (First Deposit Draft), particularly policy CON13.
