That the proposal would be contrary to policies G1, H4 and H18 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G1, G2 and H4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 First Deposit Draft 2002.  The residential development of this site would result in the permanent loss of a substantial area of open space in the middle of a residential estate, which would detract from the open character of the area and the standard of residential amenities enjoyed by the occupiers of neighbouring properties.  In addition, the proposed residential development of its site would represent an undesirable form of backland development that would result in increased noise and disturbance to existing residential occupiers.
