That the proposal would be contrary to policy H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and advice given in section 4.6 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide. The rear extension proposed has a depth of some 6m as measured from the rear wall of the adjoining property, number 6D Thame Road. It is considered that this depth of extension would be unacceptably unneighbourly to the occupiers of number 6D and would detract from the standard of residential amenities that they currently enjoy.
