Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 18th June 2003
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposal would be contrary to policies G1, G8 and C3 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2, G6, C1 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 First Deposit Draft 2002. Having regard to the size, bulk and height of the proposed garage and its siting in close proximity to numbers 1 and 3 Church Cottages, the proposal would constitute an unneighbourly form of development that would be overbearing in the outlook from these properties and result in loss of light to the properties thereby detracting from the residential amenities enjoyed by the occupiers of 1 and 3 Church Cottages. In addition the proposed garage would appear prominent and intrusive in the street scene and detract from the spacious character of the village green and the locality generally.
