Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 2nd April 2003
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposal would be contrary to policies G1, G8, C3 and C8 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2, G6, C1 and A1 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 First Deposit Draft. The proposed building is substantial in size and bulk, would appear prominent and intrusive in this isolated rural area and would detract from the unspoilt character of the Area of Great Landscape Value. Furthermore the proposed siting of the building is in an open field, some considerable distance away from the established farm buildings and no adequate justification has been put forward to warrant allowing such a building in this location and override established planning policies.
