Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposals are contrary to Policies G1, G8 and H4 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, Policies G2, G6 and H4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (Second Deposit Draft September 2003) and guidance contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide, in particular sections BP1 and EX2. Having regard to the nature of the development in the area, characterised by semi-detached and detached properties, and to the size of the plot, the proposals would result in a cramped form of development that would be out of keeping with the general character and appearance of the area and would detract from the form of the pair of semi detached properties.
That the proposals are contrary to Policies G1 and G14 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and to Policies G2 and D6 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (Second Deposit Draft September 2003). Having regard to the limited extent of land included within the application area, the proposals would involve the loss of on-site parking to serve 54 Cherry Tree Road, and result in a more inconvenient parking arrangement, contrary to the proper planning of the locality.
