Having regard to the use of modern materials, its non-traditional design and its excessive size, the erection of the proposed sign would result in an inappropriate feature which would detract from the character and appearance of the Henley Conservation Area, which would be contrary to the provisions of Policies G1, G13, CON10 and CON12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and Policies G2, CON10 and CON13 of the Second Deposit Draft of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
