Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 29th September 2003
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the site lies outside the built-up area of Crowmarsh, in an area where the Council's policies do not allow for the provision of new dwellings. Furthermore, having regard to the excessive size and inappropriate design of the extension the proposal would result in a form of development that would detract from the character of the existing building and the character and visual amenity of the area, which lies within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Therefore the development would be contrary to the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G1, G3, G5, C1, C2, H6 and H13 and South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (Second Deposit Draft), particularly policies G1, G2, G3, G4, G6, C2, H6 and H11 and advice in the Council's South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
