Decision
Planning Permission on 2nd July 2004
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development must be begun not later than the expiration of five years beginning with the date of this permission and if this condition is not complied with this permission shall lapse.
Reason: By virtue of Sections 91 to 95 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
That within twelve months of their first use, the two traffic barriers and coin/swipe machines hereby permitted shall be removed from the site and the land restored to its former condition, unless a planning permission has first been granted by the Local Planning Authority on a formal application in respect thereof.
Reason: A temporary permission is granted in order that the impact of the barriers and coin/swipe machines on traffic flows and the highway network can be assessed in accordance with policies G1 and T10 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
That the two barriers and coin/swipe machines hereby permitted shall not be installed until a scheme, setting out the methodology for the monitoring of traffic flows across the bridge over a twelve month period, has been submitted to and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority (or on appeal to the Secretary of State). Thereafter the scheme of monitoring shall be implemented as agreed, with the results being submitted to the Local Planning Authority on a quarterly basis.
Reason: In order to assess the impact of the barriers and coin/swipe machines on traffic flows and the highway network in accordance with policies G1 and T10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
That the two coin/swipe machines shall be finished in black and retained as such.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory and preserve the character of the Conservation Area in accordance with policies G1, G8 and CON10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
