Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 1st September 2003
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposal would be contrary to policy H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policy H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft July 2003. The proposed roof extension and additional dormer windows would be an unneighbourly form of development that would be overbearing in the outlook from bedroom rooflights in both of the adjoining residential units and result in a loss of light entering these rooms.

That the proposal would be contrary to policies G1, H12, G8, CON8 and CON10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2, H13, G6, CON8 and CON10 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft July 2003. The proposed roof extension and additional dormer windows would be an intrusive and highly prominent form of development that would detract from the simple character of the building and would fail to preserve or enhance the character and appearance of the Kingston Blount Conservation Area.
