That in the location proposed the monopole mast would occupy a prominent position in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and be adjacent to the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The proposed 20 metre high monopole mast with associated antennae would constitute an intrusive and incongruous form of development detrimental to the special landscape character and appearance of this particular part of the Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The development would thereby be contrary to the General and Countryside policies of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan (policies G1, G15, C1 and C2) which seek to protect the District's countryside from inappropriate developments and to conserve and enhance the natural beauty and special landscape character of Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
