Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 10th February 2003
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposed mast, ancillary equipment housing and permanent access track, would, by virtue of its height and siting in an elevated position on gently rising land, result in a prominent and intrusive form of development that would have a significant impact on visual amenities and would fail to conserve both the special landscape qualities and appearance of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the historic character and setting of Stonor Park Estate as a Grade II* listed park and garden. As such the proposals are considered to be contrary to policies G1, G15, C1, C2 and CON19 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2, C1, C2, TE1 and CON20 of the first deposit draft of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
