Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 23rd April 2001
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposal would occupy a prominent location in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The proposed 15 metre high monopole tower with associated antennae would constitute an intrusive form of development and add to the existing clutter of telecommunications equipment in this location detrimental to the special landscape character and appearance of this part of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The development would thereby be contrary to the General and Countryside policies of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan particularly policies G1, G15, C1 and C2 which seek to protect the District's countryside from inappropriate developments and to conserve and enhance the natural beauty and special landscape character of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
