Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the mast and associated equipment cabin, by reason of its siting and appearance, would represent an inappropriate, intrusive and prominent form of development that would adversely affect the visual amenities of the area, including views from within the designated Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  As such, the proposals would be contrary to the provisions of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G1, G15 and C2, and of advice in DETR Circular 4/99 'Planning For Telecommunications', PPG8 'Telecommunications' (1992) and draft PPG8 'Telecommunications' (2000).


That it is considered insufficient evidence has been submitted defining the search area and demonstrating that existing buildings or other structures within the search area could not be utilised to provide the required level of coverage, contrary to advice in DETR Circular 4/99 'Planning For Telecommunications', PPG8 'Telecommunications' (1992) and draft PPG8 'Telecommunications' (2000).
