Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of five years from the date of this consent. Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.

That samples of all materials to be used in the external construction and finishes of the works hereby permitted shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before the works commence. Reason: To safeguard the character of the area and to comply with policies G1, CON 6, CON 7, CON 9 and CON 10 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That works shall not begin until a detailed specification of the type, design and external finish of all windows, external doors and rainwater goods has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory and to comply with policies G1, CON 6, CON 7, CON 9 and CON 10 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That the brickwork to be used in the rebuilding of the barn and the extension shall be laid in a Flemish bond. Reason: To safeguard the character and appearance of the historic structure and to comply with policies G1, CON 6, CON 7, CON 9 and CON 10 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That all rainwater goods shall be constructed of cast iron. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory and to comply with policies G1 and CON 6 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

No works shall take place on site until the applicant, or their agent or successors in title, has secured the making of a detailed record/implementation of a scheme of recording of the building concerned. This must be carried out by an archaeological /building recording consultant or organisation in accordance with a written scheme of investigation which shall first have been submitted to and agreed by the local planning authority. Reason: As the building is of archaeological / historic importance and to comply with policies G1 and CON 6 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
