Decision
Refusal of Listed Building Consent on 17th October 2001
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to the size and scale of the proposed extension, the prominence of the side elevation of the building, the internal re-organisation and to the demolition of the existing outshut, the proposals represents unacceptable works which would completely dominate the existing building and subsume the rear elevation in modern additions. Works of this scale would detract from the small scale character of this pair of cottages to the detriment of the historic character, interest and appearance of the listed building and setting of the adjacent listed building contrary to Policy CON6 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
