Decision
Planning Permission on 24th August 2001
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development must be begun not later than the expiration of five years beginning with the date of this permission and if this condition is not complied with this permission shall lapse.
Reason: By virtue of Sections 91 to 95 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
That detailed specifications of all new windows and rooflights shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
Reason: To safeguard the character of the existing building and character of the area
generally in accordance with Policy G8 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
That the accommodation shall only be used as short-term holiday accommodation as part of the use of the premises as a holiday care centre for the disabled and under-privileged as specified in planning application P91/W0499, notwithstanding the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 and in particular shall not be used for permanent residential accommodation.
Reason: Permanent residential use would conflict with Policies GB3, GB4 and C11 of the
South Oxfordshire Local Plan to retain the character and setting of the building and
the openness of the Oxford Green Belt. Furthermore, the means of access would be
substandard for uses generating greater traffic flow.
That notwithstanding the provisions of Condition 3 and of Article 3 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 no extension or alteration to the external appearance of the building shall be carried out and no ancillary building or structure or means of enclosure shall be erected within the site unless planning permission shall have been granted therefor.
Reason: To safeguard the character of the existing building and character of the area
generally in accordance with Policy G8 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
That development shall not begin until a scheme for the disposal of foul sewage has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
Reason: In the interests of public health and to avoid pollution in accordance with
Policy G6 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
