Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 23rd May 2001
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to the prominent location of the site on the major route through the village and to the important contribution that the front gardens of these two terrace blocks make to the character of this rural village, the proposal to create a hardstanding for parking across most of the front garden would detract from the visual amenity of the area and set a precedent for similar forms of development. It is considered that provision for parking could be made elsewhere on the site. As such the proposal would be contrary to Policies G1 and H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
