Decision
Refusal of Listed Building Consent on 6th March 2001
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to the size of the proposed dormer window and its relationship with the other 2- and 3-light dormer windows in the roof slope, the proposed dormer window is considered to be discordant to the overall form and appearance of the roofslope and therefore to the character of the listed building as a whole. Furthermore, it is considered that a 2-light dormer window in this position (as approved under P00/W0307/LB) would better retain the rhythm of the roofslope dormers and the other fenestration on this important and prominent elevation than the proposed 3-light dormer window. As such the proposal would be contrary to Policies G1, CON5, CON6, CON8 and CON10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
