Planning Permission on 11th February 2002
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development must be begun not later than the expiration of five years beginning with the date of this permission and if this condition is not complied with this permission shall lapse. Reason: By virtue of Sections 91 to 95 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

That, in the event of any new materials being used, samples of the materials to be used for the external walls and roof shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before any development commences. Thereafter the development shall only be carried out in accordance with the approved details unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory in accordance with policies CON6 and C11 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That development shall not begin until a detailed specification of the type, design and external finish of all windows, external doors and rainwater goods has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.

That the residential accommodation hereby permitted shall be occupied and used only in connection with the workshops and use as specified in the application, and shall not be occupied or used separately therefrom. Reason: The use of the building as a separate dwelling would be contrary to the Council's planning policies, and to safeguard the residential amenities and privacy of the occupiers of the residential accommodation in accordance with policies G8, H6, H11 and C11 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That the building shall be occupied and used only by the P & O Makower Trust in connection with their occupation and use of the buildings at Bishopsland, as specified in the application, and shall not be occupied or used separately therefrom. Reason: The Local Planning Authority wishes to retain control over the use of the buildings at Bishopsland to ensure that the level of activity at the site remains low key to protect the character and amenity of the area and to restrict the amount of traffic on the narrow lanes in the area in accordance with policies C11 and G10 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
