Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of five years from the date of this consent. Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.

That notwithstanding any indications as to those matters which may have been given in the application, no works shall take place until there has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority a schedule of materials and finishes for the external walls and roof. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory and to accord with policy G8 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan

That the works shall not begin until a detailed specification of the type, design and finish of all windows, external doors, rainwater goods and means of ventilation has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory in accordance with policy G8 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to provide protection for the building against the weather during the progress of the works. Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building.

That, notwithstanding any details which may be shown in the application, prior to the first occupation of any of the letting bedrooms details of any external lighting to be attached to the buildings shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Thereafter any lighting shall only be installed in accordance with the approved details. Reason: To protect the character and appearance of the Watlington Conservation Area in accordance with policies CON3 and CON6 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
