Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development must be begun not later than the expiration of five years beginning with the date of this permission and if this condition is not complied with this permission shall lapse.
Reason: By virtue of Sections 91 to 95 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
That this permission is granted as a renewal of the earlier conditional planning permissions granted on 17 July 1996 and 14 August 1991 under application references P96/S0312/R and P91/S0375 respectively and the development shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the description, plans and specifications contained in application reference P91/S0375 and subject to the conditions hereby imposed.
Reason: As the application seeks renewal of the earlier conditional planning permission and
is not accompanied by detailed plans and specifications.
That the materials to be used for the external walls and roof shall be of the same colour, type and texture as those used on the existing building.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory in accordance with
Policy H12 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
That the garage doors shall be constructed with vertical dark stained timber boarding.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory in accordance with
Policy H12 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
That the additional living accommodation hereby permitted shall be occupied and used only in connection with and ancillary to the occupation and use of the existing property White Acres as a single dwellinghouse, as specified in the application, and shall not be occupied or used separately therefrom.
Reason: As the separate occupation of the accommodation would represent an undesirable
sub-division of the property and result in inadequate standards of amenity and
privacy contrary to Policies H6 and G8 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire
Local Plan.
That the garage accommodation shall be retained as such and shall not be adapted for living purposes unless planning permission has first been granted by the Local Planning Authority on a formal application in respect thereof.
Reason: To comply with the Local Planning Authority's vehicle parking standards and to
protect local amenities in accordance with Policies G11 and G1 of the Council's
adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
The development to which this permission relates shall not be exercised in addition to, or in combination with, any part of the development under reference P00/S0522. Accordingly, this permission shall be an alternative so that either, but not both, may be implemented.
Reason: To prevent an inappropriate development of the site by the implementation or
partial implementation of both permission which would be contrary to Policy H12
of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
