Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 19th September 2001
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the loss of the garage as a parking space would result in inadequate provision of off-street parking within the curtilage of the site to meet with the Council's adopted vehicle parking standards, without the complete removal of the soft landscaping at the front of the dwelling, which would be detrimental to the character and appearance of the locality. The proposal would therefore be likely to give rise to an increase in on-street parking in the area to the detriment of the safety and convenience of other highway users. As such it is contrary to the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan particularly Policy G11.
