Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 20th August 2001
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposed extension by reason of its form, scale, mass and bulk and inappropriate fenestration details would dominate the existing dwelling and fail to respect it simple attractive form, character and modest proportions to the detriment of its character and appearance and would detract from the visual amenities and special landscape qualities of this part of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As such the proposals would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies H12 and C2, and to advice contained within the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Design Guide and the Chilterns Design Guide.
