Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development must be begun not later than the expiration of five years beginning with the date of this permission and if this condition is not complied with this permission shall lapse. Reason: By virtue of Sections 91 to 95 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

That the materials to be used for the external walls and roofs of the stables and garage buildings shall be of the same colour, type and texture as those used on the existing dwelling. Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory in accordance with Policy H12 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That the stables hereby approved shall only be used for the personal enjoyment of the occupants of The Old Barn, for horses owned and used by them and shall not be used for any commercial or business purposes. Reason: To safeguard the character and appearance of the locality and in accordance with Policies R10 and C3 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That notwithstanding the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 (or any order revoking and re-enacting that Order) no openings shall be constructed in the southern elevation of the stables. Reason: To ensure that the development is not unneighbourly and to accord with Policy G8 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That notwithstanding the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 (or any order revoking and re-enacting that Order) no windows or rooflights shall be constructed in the northern or southern elevations of the garage building other than those expressly authorised by this permission. Reason: To ensure that the development is not unneighbourly and to safeguard the character of the locality and in accordance with Policies G8 and C3 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.

That notwithstanding the provisions of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 (or any order revoking or re-enacting that Order) the garage and storage accommodation shall be retained as such and shall not be adapted for living purposes without the prior grant of planning permission by the Local Planning Authority on a formal application in respect thereof. Reason: To comply with the Local Planning Authority's vehicle parking standards and to protect local amenities and to accord with Policy G11 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
