Decision
Refusal of Consent to Display an Advertisement on 31st August 2001
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to the excessive amount of information contained on the boards the two signs would distract drivers of vehicles on the adjacent A class road which would be detrimental to the safety of users of the public highway. As such the proposal would be contrary to the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan particularly policy G13.

That having regard to their excessive size, the proposed signs would be incongruous and intrusive and would detract from the character and visual amenity of the area, which lies within an Area of Great Landscape Value. As such the proposal would be contrary to the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan particularly policies G13 and C3.
