Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 6th February 2002
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to the size and position of the detached building to provide wardrobe facilities, it would prevent the planting of tree(s) to replace those removed during the consideration of the application. The trees played an important role in softening views of the rear elevations of the Kenton Theatre from adjoining properties and contributed to the character of the area which lies within part of the Henley-on-Thames Conservation Area. As such the proposal would therefore be contrary to the provisions contained in the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G8, G9, C16, C18 and CON10.
