The proposed two storey extension is not set back from the front of the existing house, and does not have a lower ridge line.  The proposals will therefore result in a form of development that does not maintain the proportions of the original building and detracts from the overall appearance of the pair of semi-detached properties, contrary to policy H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
