Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 4th July 2001
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the retention of 1.8 metre high fencing alongside a roadside frontage in a prominent corner-plot location would represent an incongruous and unsympathetic form of development that is detrimental to the character of the area and the visual appearance of the street scene, having been erected in an area where amenity land surrounding dwellings is generally open and free from fences, walls and other built forms of enclosure. As such, the proposal is contrary to policies G1 and G8 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
