That the proposal would be contrary to the general, environmental and housing policies of the Oxfordshire Structure Plan (Policies G1, G2, EN1, EN4) and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan (Policies G1, G3, G5, C3, H6). The site lies outside the built up area of Stadhampton and its development would constitute an undesirable consolidation of an isolated group of dwellings beyond the defined limits of the village which would detract from and be detrimental to the rural character of the area which lies within an Area of Great Landscape Value. There are no overriding reasons put forward to justify an exception to the above policies.
