That the erection of the proposed mast would result in a prominent and intrusive feature, particularly when viewed on the approach from Thame to Chinnor, and a form of development that would detract from the rural character and setting of Chinnor. As such the proposal is contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, in particular policies G15, G1 and C6, and the intentions of Planning Policy Guidance Note 8 "Telecommunications".
