That, having regard to the size and scale of the proposed dwellings in relation to the size of the plot and the forward position of the garage to plot 1, the proposal represents a cramped overdevelopment of the site which is out of character with the more spacious character of the surrounding development and would detract from the visual amenities of the area. Further, having regard to the size of the proposed buildings and their position in relation to the adjacent properties the proposal represents an oppressive and unneighbourly form of development which would detract from the residential amenity of the occupants of Vallum and Chez-Djon. As such the proposal would be contrary to policies G1 and H4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
