Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 30th April 2001
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposed front extension, by virtue of its scale, design and prominence in the street scene would detract from the character and appearance of the existing modest property and the area. In addition, the rear extension would diminish the quality of the living environment for the occupants of 7 Hagbourne Close on account of the reduction in the size of private amenity space to below that recommended in Section BP4 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Design Guide. As such, the proposals would be contrary to the provisions of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies H9, H11 and H12 and of Section BP4 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
