That the proposed extensions, by virtue of their form, design, scale, mass and bulk would fail to respect the character and proportions of the existing property to the detriment of the character and appearance of the dwelling and would increase the built-up appearance of the site, resulting in a more visually intrusive form of development that would detract from the special landscape qualities of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The proposals would therefore be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies H12 and C2.
