Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 25th October 2000
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposed extensions, by virtue of their scale, mass and bulk would dominate and overwhelm the existing flint cottages to the detriment of their attractive modest character and appearance. In addition, the proposed extensions together with the form and design of the detached double garage would be visually intrusive and unduly extend the built-up appearance of the site, thereby detracting from the special landscape qualities of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As such, the proposals would be contrary to the provisions of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies H12 and C2.
