Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development be carried out strictly in accordance with the particulars of the development contained in the application to seek permission for the development and the plan numbers ICK/1 and ICK/2 accompanying such application except as modified by conditions of this permission unless otherwise agreed by the Chief Planning Officer in writing. Reason: To ensure the details of the development are carried out in accordance with the application as approved.

That development must be begun not later than the expiration of five years beginning with the date hereof. Reason: By virtue of the provisions of Section 91 (1) (a) of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1990.

That the hours of use of the floodlighting system be limited to the following times: From dusk to 9.30 pm Mondays to Saturdays and not at all on Sundays. Reason: In the interests of the amenities of neighbouring residents.

That prior to the commencement of the development full details of the proposed floodlighting, cowling and predicted overspill levels of light shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Chief Planning Officer. Reason: In the interests of the amenities of neighbouring residents.

That on installation of the floodlights, an on site assessment of the light pollution levels shall be undertaken by the Chief Planning Officer and any consequent remedial action be undertaken prior to the use of the floodlighting. Reason: In the interests of the amenities of neighbouring residents.

That once the cowling arrangements approved pursuant to Condition 4 have been installed, they shall remain in place and shall not be removed without the prior written consent of the Chief Planning Officer. Reason: In the interests of the amenities of neighbouring residents.

That a review of the existing external lighting arrangements at the school shall be undertaken to the satisfaction of the Chief Planning Officer and any consequent remedial action be undertaken prior to the floodlights being brought into use. Reason: In the interests of the amenities of neighbouring residents.

Upon installation, the floodlighting columns shall be painted a colour which has first been agreed in writing by the Chief Planning Officer and the columns shall not be painted any other colour unless the prior written consent of the Chief Planning Officer has been obtained. Reason: In the interests of the visual amenities of the area.
