Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 17th August 2000
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to its excessive size and bulk and to its inappropriate details of design the proposed extension would result in an inappropriate form of development which would fail to respect the character and scale of the existing dwelling and would be detrimental to the visual amenities of the area which lies within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In addition having regard to its proximity to the boundary of the site with the adjoining property, Debju, the extensions would result in an oppressive and overbearing form of development detracting from the residential amenities enjoyed by the residents of that property. Therefore the development would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies C2 and H12.
