That having regard to their size and inappropriate details of design, the proposed extensions would result in an incongruous form of development which would fail to respect the character of the existing dwelling and would detract from the visual amenity of the locality. Furthermore having regard to its relationship with the property to the rear, the proposed extension would detract from the amenities of Bokhara on account of its overbearing appearance. Therefore the development would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policy H12.
